Rent 300 in HD for 100 points 28th-29th

Quote:
Download '300' in HD from the XBOX Live Video Marketplace between 28th Dec & 29th Dec for just 100 Microsoft Points.

taken from xbox.com:

"For 24 hours starting midnight 28 December, anyone with a broadband connection and Xbox LIVE membership (Silver or Gold) can take advantage of this terrific limited offer. 300, critically acclaimed as the Citizen Kane of cinematic graphic novels, can be yours to rent in HD for the bargain price of 100 MS Points. Why? Because the Xbox LIVE Marketplace Video Store is now open for business, and you really must experience it for yourself to know fantastic it is."

Might be worth it if you have a HD tv and 100 points left over...

It would depend I suppose on whether or not the movie was HDMI encrypted?

I think you mean HDCP and that would only apply on a digital output and since only the newest generation xbox 360 has HDMI it would be rather stupid for it not to work over at least component....

You have a choice on the format when you download either 'standard tv' or 'HD format' from what I can remember looking at these films on xbox live.

Only available in SD for 100points, HD version still at full price.

It clearly stated in the email I received from Xbox live that HD version would be available for 100 points.

Perhaps on the next offer they should show the film Liar Liar.

Re: Rent 300 in HD for 100 points 28th-29th

Well, I rented the HD version. Looks absolutely lovely, but the film itself is (IMO) boring. Also, while trying to stream it, I got bad problems with buffering. However, it could be because my xbox is connected wirelessly.

I have left it downloading, so will resume watching it later.

Re: Rent 300 in HD for 100 points 28th-29th

Did you pay the full 540 points? If you did you might be able to claim back 440.

It still says on Xbox.com 100 points for the HD version.

Either way looks like tonight you dine in hell
