Re: any mensa candidates on here?
Oh, good grief. Visual acuity and the ability to see through optical illusions are no way to measure intelligence. I count myself as being quite intelligent, but the fact that I saw 6 Fs on the first go does not make me a genius!
(For the record, I got them all right. That still doesn't make me a genius!)
I actually have reason to suspect I might be a Mensa candidate - for instance, I was correcting the teacher at age 7 during maths lessons - but I'm not going to find out for the simple reason that I'm not so pretentious. For the same reason, I don't put "B.Sc." after my signature, even though as an honours graduate I'm quite entitled to do so. If I had a Masters, or a PhD, then yes, I might.
To misquote Gilderoy Lockhart, genius is as genius does.

Re: any mensa candidates on here?
I actually took a Mensa test, and qualified to join. I didn't bother as they wanted money.

Re: any mensa candidates on here?
Heck!If getting all of them right makes me a Mensa candidate then they must have lowered their standards.
Basically I found it easy because I tend to be the sort that looks more than twice at images because of being primarily more interested in images as an artist.Plus IF one knows that one is looking for a trick it becomes even easier.

Yeah, same here - I took the adult test when I was 13 (because I was precocious - or up my my own ar*e, I forget which ) - and was told I should join for x amount... decided I wasn't that precocious

Surely anyone dumb enough to pay money to join should be automatically disqualified?
