Cannot connect to FTP server

Not sure if any is having the same problems, but I use a webcam which uploads a picture every set period to my website. The programme is webcamfirst, and I've also used Fwink which works the same way.
Anyhow - last night it was working fine, but with no changes, suddenly I find that I'm getting the error "Cannot connect to FTP server" on Fwink, or "Closed FTP" on webcamfirst.

Anyone else getting the same problems or have any suggestions?

Is this with the Virgin Media webspace you are having problems connecting to? Because I have had some problems uploading to it where sometimes I would upload a page and it would randomly delete another! It seems to have sorted itself out now though.

Strange - I can access the uploaded pages using WS FTP Pro- but both these programmes seem to not like uploading today.

Yes - it's ntlworld to be exact.

Hmmm - can delete files from the internet, but not upload them.
Any ideas? Anyone else have the same problem?
