Am ready to buy new PC and Vista. Seen on another techy site someone complaining that they can't connect to the internet via their SP, NTL. NTL response was they don't support Vista yet. Some how this all sounds unlikely but i don't want to be without my connection should I upgrade now. Any views welcome.
I can't see why you would have any problems.
If you are connecting by ethernet then it should work fine.
It is only maybe if you had to install other software or a card that does not support vista that you may be could have got problems.
You should be fine in most cases.
I went to install a VM modem for a guy yesterday who didnt have an enet card and the modem had dropped the usb connection totally so the new VM modems do not have usb . Any pc shipped with Vista will have fully drivers and Enet onboard so it will not be a problem. A few techs obviously have been through the Vista betworking management and can now offer support lol
