The UK taxpayer is about to be stung with a staggering bill between £2.2 billion to £2.7 billion thanks to Northern Ireland legacy payments, inquiries, and inquests, a report from Policy Exchange reveals. Up to £1.4 billion has already spent, with at least £1.3 billion still to come…

And yes, this includes payouts to Gerry Adams and other IRA suspects, as Starmer prepares to repeal the Legacy Act which prevents suspects being barred from compensation. The think tank estimated Adams and the 400 other claimants could each receive £143,000 in compensation on top of a further 1,000 similar cases, making a total of £196 million. A reminder that Attorney General Richard Hermer has been paid £30,000 to represent Gerry Adams…
