HELP!setting up wireless problems

hi i was wondering if anyone can help me.i want to set up two wireless pc's,one desktop and the other a laptop.i want them both to be wireless due to the placing of the router.problem i'm having is that the intel pro wireless doesn't seem to be working.i'm using the lynksys router and temporarily using the lynksys wireless g speedbooster for my laptop.i want to use this for the desktop and the laptops inbuilt settings.i'm using virgin media cable...can anyone tell me what i need to do to set this up..it would be a great help..im a bit thick lol...thanks in advance.lee

need more information on the intel pro and whats not happening. Is it internal? does it show up in taskbar? other than that the routers working and you can connect wirelessly?
