New TV Series?

Looking for some advice...

I know where to look to find new episodes of any shows on TV, but where would i look to find where and when new TV series are starting?

There are a couple of new TV series started recently i have missed out on as i didn't know they were starting, now i've missed the first few episodes i will have to wait until they hit VoD or are re-run.

Anyone know of a place or how to check when a whole new series starts?

Thanks in advance!

Re: New TV Series?

I going to get a pasting on here for mentioning this but if you want news of up and coming series on channels then a certain rival cable forum website has a very good television section. Which gives you advance news of new stuff coming soon to any transmitted channel.

Incidently while trying to do a search I came up with this link.

http://www.democraticunderground.com...ss=104x5280775

Seems sky news is going to have a real fight. A global independant news setup which will have profesional journalist give it as they see it.

I bet this will be on virgin media platform very soon to replace sky news.

Re: New TV Series?

Does the site have a section where you can see all the new series coming, or do i just have to read through it all to see what's about?

Would be cool to see a sort of Calendar with the days a new series was starting. I've seen a place where episodes that are premiering, but what i have seen doesn't say what episode they are in and i can't read every episode to see which one it is!

Re: New TV Series?

unfortunately the latter. Just a news blag info Im afriad but its the best we have got.

I do like your idea maybe cable forum could do something to highlight new shows. If I had not seen adverts I would have never known about day break. I annoyingly missed episode 1 of the unit. I hope it goes vod.

I notice trouble has a new series Kyle XY.

The fact the only way is to know is by generally adverts buying poor tv mags which usually way out with its tranmitted content or got missing channels like bravo 2. When they do have many which tell you nothing about the programme. Has endless pages telling about garbage soup(sorry soaps).

What I would like to see is what they do for playstation releases. They could give a list of dates and channel its to be transmitted soon. A blag info of what the show is about.

I would like to see a uk version of that pilot web someone posted

Yeah, i almost contemplated asking for a sticky in the Cable TV section where people can post new shows starting.

Thought i might get shot down in flames though!

I agree though, i hate reading through mags or tonnes of dross just to get one piece of information.

I do think it would be a good idea for someone to do a website or whatever. I'm a devil for missing the first episode or 2 and then i refuse to watch it, hate missing stuff. If only i had the time to collate one myself!
