Thumbs up Customer Service

Just to counter all the bad vibes you usually get on Forums...

My second box did not survive a recent change of electricity meter while I was out, after working fine for about 15 years. I've just rung Virgin.

After the usual typing of numbers to get to the right department, the call
was answered within 1 second, by someone who I could understand and who sounded cheerful and helpful, and the repair is booked for tomorrow (Sat) so I don't have to take time off work. How's that for service ??

Well done Virgin and Mr Branston - You've got me out of a pickle - Well, someone had to say it.....

Do you have Analogue or Digital TV? Just a random question. Nice to hear something positive said here for once

Re: Customer Service

To answer Zeph it's a Digital service in Swindon - which makes me think, it may not have been the same box all the time, as it might have been an Analog service to start with. Lost in the mists of time now !!

And to Shaun - I thought about the jinx as I wrote the first message. Hope it goes OK !!

Having said that - I noticed details on the Forum of the £85 VIP package. As I'm already paying £81.50 for XL TV, XL Broadband and 2nd box, this seems like a great deal. Rang Virgin, and got straight through to a helpful English speaker (albeit Scottish!!) and got it all sorted there and then. Must be my lucky day !!
