I already have Virgin Broadband (originally NTL) and have ordered their T.V. package..the box is arriving Friday. I have been told that we install it. I thought that the Engineer had to connect some cables from the Box outside though for the T.V. connection. Sorry if I am thick. Please someone put me right.

Re: Ordered new STB from Virgin..
Umm - yes, as far as I'm aware, they only do self-install for broadband.
If you are cabled, then it's easier - they'll need to put a box inside the house near the television, and connect up the STB, and then pair the card and box together.
if you already have a white box inside your home normally on a wall near to maybe a window [mine is but could be different] it might just be means of a cable connected to stb then split from cable to broadband i.e 1 cable in two out but thinking about it I would suspect an engineer would be required to do install best call em back and have it confirmed to you ok
The only thing I have is my Modem for B.B. in my office and cabling running from the outside wall for this...Nothing else...But when I said this the girl said nothing else was needed..we just connected the Box for T.V. via Scart socket and Aerial.....ummmmmmmm...I reckon something is amiss. ?
