V+ Component out Not working :(

I've just had V+ installed and was hoping to use the component output, my TV has component input (Phillips 30PF9975) but when ever I try to use this option I get the error "Picture Format not available", this is using 720 or 720 wide which the TV is supposed to support. Any ideas?

Re: V+ Component out Not working :(

According to this review it's definately supposed to take 1080i - have you tried that?

Ah, thats it Sorted!!!!

Thanks very much ShadowTD,I thought the most the TV could handle was 720, so I never thought to try the 1080 settings, but 1080 works like a charm!!!!

Re: V+ Component out Not working :(

I believe your set is fairly early in terms of HD (lacking as it does a HDMI socket). Many early american sets were only able to take 1080i - it's all down to refresh rates and internal processing and somesuch other gubbins! Important thing is you got it working!

Re: V+ Component out Not working :(

Yes, unfortunately I failed to do my research properly and purchased this TV just months before HD became a mainstream selling point, but never mind its a good excuse to buy a new 40" TV.

Thanks again.
