Cabling for 2nd. STB

If I take up the VIP offer. 2 Questions a) where does the cabling come from for the second STB, out of the first STB, the street or the wall mounted connection box. b) if out of the first STB, can the V+ be the 2nd STB as I havent the room to lay a V+ horizontal in my main room, my Samsung stands on it's side. Hope that makes sense.

Re: Cabling for 2nd. STB

The connection can either come from the first set top box or the connection point on the wall outside (Omni box ).
A lot of people have the boxs swapped around ,it should not be a problem.

Wink Re: Cabling for 2nd. STB

As quam256 said, the 2nd cable can be run from almost anwhere(i mean any other exsisting point),there wouldnt be any problem in having the boxes swapped around. The only issue you might encounter is if a lazy installer turns up then he might be addiment the new cable has to be run from the nearest(easiest for him) exsisting point. This isnt true. The choice whether it be for practical or purely cosmetic purposes is yours.

Re: Cabling for 2nd. STB

My second box was cabled all the way from the box in the street - the signal was apparently too weak to support two boxes on the one cable.
