How long have you had service. Certainly over 12 months and you should be able to have the phone disconnected. I don't believe you have to have phone with TV anymore.
I have the XL pack with no premium channels and also the landline which I don't use - can I get rid of it?
Rick.
Yes you can get rid of the phone line but you will have to pay £25 for the XL pack instead of £20.50 a month. http://home.ntl.com/websales/service.do?id=1

only £20.50 * per month (£25.00 if taken without phone service)
I'm sure you'll be able to get them to cut you a deal. I've got 2meg BB, TV: XL, V+ and an extra STB for £49/month. I previously had 4meg BB, phone line and Talk Evenings. They were quite helpful when I called up, unlike Sky.
