Is ntl tv cable used ,the same as sky cable used

Hi

I have NTL for broadband & our landline, but I have sky tv. We are thinking of changing to ntl tv, but having a amtico floor that is glued down, we are wondering if the current sky cable (that is under the flooring) would be the same cable used for the sky - if your with, sorry if it sounds confusing.

If the same cable could not be used, i'd then have to have all the flooring up and re screeded as it is not possible to run cable around the skirting due to the position of the tv areial box in the lounge.

Any info on this would be great, be a ntl installer would know. I have tried to ask ntl but they wont put me though to installations to ask.

I don`t know if its the same cable but i would doubt it, maybe the engineer could attach the new cable to the old sky cable and pull/feed it through. just an idea??

My hubby is a floor layer, so it wont cost us anything , but time and maybe the hassle of the furniture/ flooring up everywhere for a short while..
