V Plus installed yesterday
As promised an update, V plus installed and everything working without a hitch! All I need now is to work out how to get my dvd to play as it has been connected but not sure how to get it to work? Any ideas?
(I was out at the time of installation)!

Re: V Plus installed yesterday
it went fine i was told, took about 90 mins, no mess, old ntl box running ok on a portable tv in bedroom, got all my v plus stuff working, paused coronation st when phone went!
Only thing is the box hums a bit but it sits on an enclosed wooden unti so was going to get a glass unit anyway so i can use remote through glass doors.
not sure how to get dvd player to come on though?
its plugged in??? Must be something to do with av button or something ?
tried switching av on tv etc

Re: V Plus installed yesterday
Have you got two scart sockets on the back of the television?
Just tell us how you have you V+, DVD and television connected - that will help.

The hum is a vibration through the feet on to the wooden surface. My V+ is on a wooden shelf with a drawer underneath it, this may sound bizarre, but if I open the drawer just slightly the vibration stops!

Hi,
Just told em on phone to stick their help i will do it myself as i got the usual, they dont do support for dvds. my fault for not being in i guess, not finished with em yet though....
ok vplus is sitting on top of dvd player (which was working through ntl).
scart lead comes from back of dvd into bottom socket of v +
scart then goes from top v + socket to back of tv
just a thought... i have two scart sockets on back of tv of which i used both before... now there is only one socket on back of tv being used and other scart seems to have gone walkies!
I should have a spare but god knows where its gonna go coz i dont wanna mess anythin up!

Re: V Plus installed yesterday
I run scart from my DVD player to my V+ box, V+Box to TV then use one of these..
to direct the AV signal back to my Archos video recorder, which i can then plug into my Laptop via USB and transfer recordings quickly to my PC. works fine for me.
