Angry Does anyone else have this ntl broadband problem?

while your looking at webpages they start to take ages to load and then not to load at all (things like msn messenger still work) and the only way to get it back is to turn the modem off for 10 minutes. it solves the problem temporally but its a pain in the **** to keep turning it off.

is there anything i can do to stop this happening?

How do you get broadband, via modem or STB? Which type and what speed service are you on? Some of the older modems like the Terrayons are known to have problems with the faster speeds.

You might want to try changin proxies. This may or may not work: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/forumdisplay.php?f=97

I have this problem alot, admittedly, if i turn off bitlord then after a couple of moments it seems to run fine again. Its a bit of a weird one i find, admittedly, i need to get my STB swapped as its an old pace one, just not got around to it :/

There's your problem there then... you could try reducing your upload, but I find that my router needs rebooting daily if I'm running bittorent.

aye same, and admittedly.. the upload is reduced down to 3kbps, still does it, though admittedly, after rebooting the lot today, seems to be running alright for the time being

as i said earlier its a 120 which is probably the most comman ntl modem.
would i be right in thinking that a new blue modem (i think its a 250) wouldnt solve the problem?
