Why do you want to do this ?

Never heard or tabbing ?

download and install mozilla firefox - keep one window but several webpages in tabs which you can flick through by clicking the tabs.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/tabs.html

IE7 has this feature too

If I have over seven sites open they do not appear on my toolbar...........there is just one icon which i have to click on and then find the site I want to go back to in a list !

I understand what you are saying but windows is grouping them automatically...

So you have to right click on the group and select the page you want.

But what I am suggesting is that you can update your web browser so that you manage your opened webpages more easily

Re: More sites on tool bar ?

Right-click on your Taskbar, then choose Properties. Then untick 'Group similar taskbar buttons'

But the best way is to use a tabbed browser, like CrC-3rr0r is suggesting.

Re: More sites on tool bar ?

Or right click on the Taskbar, uncheck "Lock The Taskbar" and then hover over untill you see an arrow facing upwards, click and drag the taskbar up.

crushednutts is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: More sites on tool bar ?

Add folders in the links folder and have different folders for different sites ie: Games, Drivers etc. You then get a drop-down-box effect.

Opera is a good browser too, one of my faves.

But, if you want a pretty good IE-based browser (other than IE7) then Maxthon is pretty good too.
