shocking ntl services!!
i called to take off my base pack and make it into the freeview service with my phone line
i come back and see my sky sports has been switched off too
i called back and they transferred me 3 times and the 4th one couldnt hear me(yeah right) and switched me off,
the one before me could hear me but acted like he couldnt and repeated everything i said!!
WTF!!
do they get paid for taking the **** now?

well if you want the freeview service you wont have skysports.

We have been having a problem with a telephone switch in Manchester whereby on some calls agents could hear customers, but customers couldn't hear them - so it's likely you were affected by this problem when calling CS, however it's inexcusable that you were transferred between four different departments.
The Free TV service is just that - you can have Sky Sports on top, but the price is the same as the Select Pack with Sky Sports, and that should have been explained to you at the time you downgraded.
If you want to retain Sky Sports, I'd suggest your best bet is to call back on 150 and arrange to get your package changed to Select Pack with Sky Sports. It's not quite free, but at £5.50 per month (excluding the Sports package and telephone line), the Select Pack is far cheaper than anything you'll get from Sky themselves!

I beg to differ... no sky premiums are available with the free pack at all. Ziltch!

Well don't you think its better to at least just say no for consistancy - the OP maybe a SABS customer, in which case then there is no way around it. On ICMS/SMS maybe, but not SABS.
Some of us aren't lucky enough to use a decent billing system

Woah, they've changed SABS! I take it back, last time I looked you could select the Sports option with Free TV.
But as I've said, there's no point anyway as the price was the same even when it was possible.
