Re: Firefox RC2 sneaks out
I am currently using RC1 excellent browser. Built in spell checker is a life-saver (as some of you may have guessed)

Although RC2 has already been posted to Mozilla's FTP servers, it might be pulled to fix the JavaScript flaw and/or another bug in an overlooked dialog that remains in the code from previous test builds, said Mozilla.

From here
Mind you, article is dated 3 Oct 06, and RC2 posting date to FTP server is 6 Oct 06, so may be a revised version ?

Probably best to hold off until your RC1 tells you its time to update, from reading between the lines at the Mozilla Forums - this RC2 is still intesting.

Re: Firefox RC2 sneaks out
Strangely enough, I don't see any difference between FF 1.5 and 2 on Linux

RC2 is now available via the automatic update function. That is the 3.10.06 build, which is the same as the link above.

Re: Firefox RC2 sneaks out
Yup I stand corrected - I posted that from my 1.5 PC. Am now on my v2 RC1 laptop and it updated immediately.
So please disregard my silly warnings

Re: Firefox RC2 sneaks out
*Waits for it to become available via apt*
Probably won't though, since it's still release candidate.

Re: Firefox RC2 sneaks out
That links to "Firefox Setup 1.5.0.7.exe" - is that right?

Re: Firefox RC2 sneaks out
have you cleared your temp cache? It links to the bonecho RC folder which houses the new RC3 releases

Re: Firefox RC2 sneaks out
Grabbed it this morning, thanks all. Transfered books marks etc fine, but one extension does not work at the moment:
Cookie Button 0.8.5
Hopefully the developer will get it sorted. The spell checker is a life saver for typos
