decoding a password?
I have a password here that I have not used for a long time. I have used the site but got windows to remember it etc. I want to use it on another machine but for the life of me can't remember what it is. Used the site 'forgotten password' thing but there appears to be a problems with that. I can copy and pasted the 'asterisks' and use them but how can I know what the password is again? Is there a decoder of the stars.

Re: decoding a password?
There is - but - im not sure you should have it to be honest. Convince us your not trying to rip off somebody elses account details.

Re: decoding a password?
I'm sure that if a piece of software was available to do as you ask then it is highly likely to be dodgy, seeing as the possibility of misuse would be great.
Plus you were expecting an answer like that as well

So you not only forget a password, but you forget how to pick up email from the account you registered.. ironic
Troll?
Scammer?
All of the above?
It couldn't possibly be because you never knew the password nor have access to the, poor target of your affections, email account?

Daddy is a member, he installs a NetNanny type bit of software that blocks one of your favourite pr0n sites, what is the easiest way to find out the password that unlocks it?? hmmmm?
Obviously, If I'm proven wrong I'll retract all this defamatory and nasty conjecture

Re: decoding a password?
I don't get it.....
This information has been given out countless times here, often within one or two posts.
I've even posted here asking pretty much the same question and been pointed to the link containing the software.
I don't think I've ever seen quite so much hostility towards someone asking for information about retrieving/uncovering passwords before.
Frankly, I'm a little embarassed.

usually means that there are no specifics to be had.
I'm fully prepared to be wrong on this and apologise in advance if I am.

Re: decoding a password?
It's possible that people may not feel comfortable with the person who is asking for this information and question their reasons. Whatever the case is, the OP has got his information and to ensure a slanging match doesn't develop, I'm locking this one down.
