Advice Required - Random MP3 selector

I am soon to get an MP3 player, just a small one as size is an issue, so I have gone for a 256mb player, enough to get about 5 albums worth.

What I would like to do is from my MP3 folder on my computer, run a program which selects files at random up to the 256MB limit and then copy into another, pre-defined, folder for use in the player.

I have done a Google and looked through Webattack, but can't find a program to do this. Some people seem to have written scripts, but they are a bit beyond me.

Any ideas?

That is basically what the Ipod Shuffle does (well, only thing it does really). Everytime you sync it, it randomly selects songs from your iTunes library and copies them onto the device.

The MP3 player is a Creative one - can I still use the same software?

Re: Advice Required - Random MP3 selector

Having rephrased the google search, I found something here

http://www.geocities.com/proggon/mp3rand.html

Seems to do the job a treat. Just in case anyone else wanted a solution to the same.
