Windows XP Services (are they all required)
Ok, i have come to the conclusion that my computer is slowing down because of all the services running. Even after i have disabled orgrams using msconfig, defragged, virus/sptware scanned etc its still slow.
So is there any services that i definatly dont need?

Re: Windows XP Services (are they all required)
task manager (ctrl + alt +del) or right click on the taskbar to open task manager

the services you require depend on what you use the pc for-
for example, i never print from my pc- so have no need for the printer related services...

Re: Windows XP Services (are they all required)
Type services.msc into the run command box and press enter. Then take a look at my website and click on Service Tweak Guide, there you will find your answers.

Re: Windows XP Services (are they all required)
Saxo, No probs m8.
Wayne, if your gonna use msconfig, just use it for startup items and not for services because it can cause problems.
Also 40 running processes is too much, even with 2GB of RAM, I never have more than 25 running.
