GPS clock wrong !!!

Hi all

I might eat humble pie here but why is the clock part of AA Navigator wrong does chnage between 10 minutes and a couple of hours!!!

The clock on the PDA is right but not on the screen with GPS maps.....I thought about phoning the whitehouse in case thier sats are out of obit !

The sats are owned by the USA (I think) and not whitehouse

GPS uses UT (Universal Time) Which I belive is set by GMT/BST

I thought when I read the title that his doctors clock was wrong! lol

Get in touch with the company that made it and ask them maybe?

The GPS clocks are spot on - that's how they work! They use an atomic clock in each satellite so that they can transmit very accurate time information. The receiver compares the delays from each sat to work out its position. More info here:

The system is owned and run by the US Department of Defence so they could pull the plug at any time. Which is why Europe wants to spend a vast amount of money on its own Galileo system:

DO you have a reset CD??? As my brothers did that and he had to reset it or do you have a port were it can be rebooted?
