HI, Could any of you guys help? I have 15 e-mail addresses set up on my account. My main e-mail address works ok but recently two of them are now not being recognised by the server? Outlook reports the following, error (0x800ccc92) Server Responded: - ERR invalid user name or password. The two e-mail addresses that do not appear to work are being used by my family and are causing us inconvenience with us not being able to receive e-mails. All of my 15 e-mail address's are listed when you enter the modify/delete page. I have tried web mail and that also does not work with those two e-mail addresses? I have contacted customer support who seems unable to come up with an answer to the problem and said that on one of their computers they could get my e-mails to work via web mail but not on one of their other computers. Can anyone help or suggest whatâ₠¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s going on?
I'm sure one of the Internet techs will PM you shortley and get some details from you.
Its odd that those addresses can be accessed on certain machines, which would suggest a configuration issue, but there may be more to the problem than that.
Thanks for the welcome Toto. When I arrived home from work this evening my wife told me that NTL had telephoned at about 4.00 pm to say that both of the e-mail addresses should now work. I have checked and they do. Thanks NTL, the two women in my life, my wife and my daughter can now receive their e-mails. It would have been interesting to know what the problem was though. By the way, can you normally use any one of your valid e-mail addresses with their passwords to gain access to your e-mail account manager page as I am able to do? I thought you were only supposed to gain access to this page using your primary e-mail and password provided when your account was originally set up?

Glad its sorted.
Yes, strangely you can access the main email account using any username associated with the main account. ntl say this is a feature.

Re: Two of my e-mail addresses no longer work?
A few accounts simply don't seem to be migrating to the new platform properly, you can usually still access them using the IP address of the old POP server. You may find it helps to refresh your account by going to http://autoreg.autoregister.net/cgi-bin/chgpwd and entering your username and your current password three times. I've not seen much success with this but it doesn't hurt and may prevent you having to call.
