access to ftp
i used to use teh format username.password@upload.ntlworld.com

but the new ie patch blocks that, as i'm on the move constantly i dont really want to have to use an ftp prog

is tehre another way to acces it ?

Strange, I'm full patched on XP here and the format
ftp://ACCOUNTNAME:PASSWORD@upload.ntlworld.com/
works still for me.

The hotfix default to disabling that format (to help prevent spoof sites which use www.ebay.com@dodgysite.com) but you can re-enable it off by editing the registry key. For those interested the key is:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_HTTP_USERNAME _PASSWORD_DISABLE]
"iexplore.exe"=dword:00000000
"explorer.exe"=dword:00000000

Oh, the alternative work around is to go to

ftp://upload.ntlworld.com

then click "file" then "log in as"
