Video Input with VIVO Card?

Ive got a XFX Geforce 6 series card and Abit Siluro Geforce 4 card with VIVO - is it possible to take input from say an x-box or video and play it back on the pc using RGB connection?

If so how would I do this...

Thank you in advance for any replys

Re: Video Input with VIVO Card?

they normal vivo connections are composite and svideo

you could do it via a scart to phono jacks and or svideo, sound input to line in ,video would be your choice

Re: Video Input with VIVO Card?

Would this method let me play in Hi-def on my modded Xbox?

Re: Video Input with VIVO Card?

it would allow you to input a signal in the range of svideo or composite,Pc monitors tend to have a higher resolution than a standard tv so you may get better results,HDTV is the next generation

once you've got drivers installed, any program that accepts vfw sources... windows meda player should be able to do it, but there are better (imo) optons:

media player classic for viewing
vrtualdub for recording video, should you want to...

No. Hi Def signals can only be sent through component, VGA or DVI outputs. Composite and S-Video cables cannot carry Hi Def signals.

I personally don't know of a ViVo card that can take a Component, VGA or DVI input (even though nearly all of them can output to VGA and DVI).

scastle is spot on, this card definitely won't accept hdtv input.

you'd need something like the ati hdtv wonder, which doesn't look like being available in the uk, and will probably be pretty expensive if/when it is!
