Loss of signal to AV1

Hi all - hoping someone can help. Have had Telewest for ages without any major problems - have just connected a Video Sender to the video scart socket of my STB so I can watch cable on the TV in the kitchen. All working fine. However, I have lost the the signal on my AV1 channel, despite having not touched the SCART lead from the STB to the TV. Any ideas? Also, I have a PACE Di100T STB and only have one green one light on - top one - (been like that for ages), isn't there supposed to be two? Could this be the problem? Everything seems to work OK except some of the games/email/shopping functions, which I don't use anyway. Sorry if there is a really simple answer....

Re: Loss of signal to AV1

Yes - to clarify - one SCART from 'TV' socket to TV as has always been (now not working) and one SCART lead from Video socket to video sender - which does work. Interestingly, if I remove the SCART lead from the video socket, the STB to TV Scart starts working again...... the plot thickens.......

PS - have just take the SCART lead out of the video sender and put it back in the video and everything works again. There is obviously some compatability issue between the STB and the video sender, which isn't surprising given that there seems to be compatability issue between my STB and every other contrivance known to man. Other than constantly moving the SCART plug when I want to watch cable in the kitchen, could I do anything else?

Re: Loss of signal to AV1

the problem sounds like it is something to do with the pass through on the digi box, they are deisgned so that when you have a video plugged into the "video" scart socket on the digi box and play a video, it over rides the cable signal coming out the "tv" socket on the digi box and plays the video signal on the tv.

You could try getting one of these multi scart adapter things, and plugging that into the "tv" socket on the digibox, then a scart to the tv from the adapter and a scart to the video sender.
