mp3 and windows 2000 professional

hi all, i have just ordered a 'netac C620' mp3 player for my sons birthday, it says on the site that its compatible with windows2000 but it doesnt say anything about windows2000 professional. does this mean it wont work on my pro version or are they the same. i know i sound like a panicking banshee but i would hate to give it to my son on his birthday only to find it dont work!!
ps. my pc hates me and the feeling mutual!

Win2k pro is still Win2k, Pro just has more features than the home edition
No reason why it shouldn't work!

Didn't W2k only come in the pro variety? Anyway if it is compatible with one it will be with the other.

Re: mp3 and windows 2000 professional

There was no Home version of Windows 2000, only Professional and Server versions, the Professional is geared toward office use and the Servers toward, well, servers. The "Home Version" of 2000 if you want to call it that was SORT OF Windows Millenium Edition which was not based on the NT line but rather the 9x (95, 98, 98SE) range of Operating Systems whereas 2000 was built on the NT Line. If something says it will work on Windows 2000 it means Windows 2000 Pro, ive never tried to get anything similar working on a Server version although I cant see it not working. Good luck.
