Re: modem wont boot

Hi Delboy2028,
Basically the cable modem is not able to lock onto the ntl network, so their is either an outage or a signal problem in your area or your cable to the green box on the street. Phone tech support/faults to report it and get an engineer out! Nothing else you can do, i'm afraid

Gary

Re: modem wont boot

If you're in a pure ntl area your Samsung and cable modem are actually both DOCSIS devices and will be connected to the same UBR. This presents an excellent opportunity for using two devices in the same house to compare and see if there's an issue. Any chance of getting the MACs/smartcard ID (for the Samsung)?

Re: modem wont boot

It may be wise for a mod to come along and censor that MAC address!!!!
