NTL Analogue and Videosenders

Hi

Does any one know if a videosender would work with an NTL analogue box. NTL are coming on tuesday to install it in my mother in laws new flat and she needs to be able to view it in her bedroom and well as the lounge.

At the moment we have asked ntl to put another box in the bedroom but I am wondering if they will be able to do this with it being analogue. They said they can but I know what NTL are like. She had analogue at her old place and has taken the box over with her ready to be connected. I heard that they don't give analogue out to new customers so I was wondering if they will have any boxes that can be used in the bedroom or if they have run out of them now. Does anyone know about this.

But back to the videosenders if i purchased one like this http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...clickfrom=name
or
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...rce=1&doy=20m3

Would we be able to control the channels form the other room as I have read about some problems with NTL boxes and videosenders on this site.

If we did upgrade her to digital will this work still or will we have a problem. I think we are in the langley area if it helps.

Thanks
Steve

Re: NTL Analogue and Videosenders

I don't know about videosenders, but our analogue decoder (Scientific Atlanta), works fine with an ordinary 'All in One' remote, so it should be ok

I'm not sure what box it is at the moment, I think it is a general instruments one. I know it has jerrold on the control.

Thanks

Re: NTL Analogue and Videosenders

I've got a General Instruments Analogue NTL box and it works fine with a Phillips Videosender from Argos (including remote control) HTH
