Question Employee Discounts with NTL + Telewest

What discounts r given to employees of NTL and Telewest? I know with BT they get the Select services for free and reduced price ADSL, and free line rental if engineers do regular call-outs.

I heard somewhere that Telewest engineers get their TV and BB for next to nothing so I just wanted to compare that, to what BT offer as one of my relatives happens to work for BT.

So r any cable employees willing to spill the beans ?

also no. I view your question as similar to asking how much people get paid.

I suggest that if you really want to know you apply for a job with ntl/ telewest and then see what benefits you are offered if you get the job

What's wrong in asking what a job pays? I'm just asking what benefits a company offers such as you see in job adverts

Re: Employee Discounts with NTL + Telewest

I think on here staff will be reticent to give details. That's because such things are invariably followed by posts from someone else saying things like 'well what a disgrace, if ntl invested that money in good customer service instead of discounts for their numpty staff' etc, and then a huge row ensues.

no i wasn't, but to be honest i think the pay/ benefits that i receive for doing my job is nobody elses business. I have provided you a link to the ntl website with as much information as is publically available and i am not prepared to give you more information than that.

I wasn't asking u as an individual employee, I was asking what the company offer as a whole. Fair enough, if u don't want to give any details, no need to get so wound-up about it !

Re: Employee Discounts with NTL + Telewest

I personally don't think it is any of our business what they are given. I do know what a friend gets from Telewest but I know they wouldnt like be posting it around in public forums, just as your friend who works for BT might not be happy at you posting in the forums what he gets. Just my 2ps worth and MPO.

Well the answers that you will get on this forum will be from individuals- if you want a company wide comment from ntl in more details than is available from their careers website i suggest you contact their national press enquiries or HR departments asking for details.
