Remote Control Not Working

Hi wonder if you have any ideas how to fix this problem. Have a Pace ntl box for the last 4 yrs, last week the remote control stopped working rang Ntl they sent out new remote, this didnt work. An engineer came out replaced the box tried the new remote everything fine. A couple of hours later the box died with an error 3. Next day a new box was installed didnt think to try new remote and when I did it didnt work. Ntl sent me another remote this still dosent work. I will say that Ntl have tried to be very helpful but havent been able to fix the problem, am having to wait till friday for another visit. Has anyone any ideas? Cheers

Bit of a wierd one. Is someone eating your remote batteries

I wonder if there is some sort of local interference that is blocking the signal. Might be a case of explaining carefully to the engineer who arrives that the STBs have already been replaced, as has the remote. Do they have another different make / model STB (the Samsung perhaps) that could be installed, as that uses different methods of signalling from the remote to the majority of PACE boxes.
