Remote Control TV Codes
Hey
I have the newer samsung box with the remote that has volume control for the TV, but i've lost my instructions.
Could someone that has the instructions please tell me the codes for Toshiba TV's, and how to set the codes.
Thanks
Paul

Re: Remote Control TV Codes
1) Switch on TV
2) Press * and Settings keys together for at least 2 sesc until the remote light flashes green twice
3) Enter code 3921 and press select, the green light on remote should flash twice again
4) Hold down remote power button until the tv switches off (may take time) then release key when it switches off
5) Press select to store code and green light should flash twice again.
Or if that fails go here http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/article.php?a=41

Re: Remote Control TV Codes
I don't think so, because the list is only for TVs as far as I am aware

Which Pace STB and in which area Bromley or Langley?
Pace STBs in Langley use the same remotes as the Samsung.

Re: Remote Control TV Codes
Bromley i'm afraid. i tried using it but it didn't work. (didn't expect it too, just thought i'd do it for a laugh, you never know)
I had the pace 1000. not sure what the samsung is or even if there's only one version of it.

Re: Remote Control TV Codes
The One for All URC code for the Samsung and Langley Pace boxes is 1060.

Re: Remote Control TV Codes
Yes he has give you the code for Bromley Samsungs - its identical to the Langley one. They use the same infra-red protocol

Was such a comment really necessary when people are trying to help you ? If you keep this up then no one is going to bother.

err yes.
Don't you hate it when you have a problem, ask for help and get answers on anything and everything.
Except what you actually asked in the first place.

Re: Remote Control TV Codes
Except that your question has been answered. The One-For-All code for Samsung STBs is the same as the Pace code in Langley areas.
And lets face it, given that Bromley Samsungs use the same remote control as Langley boxes (which a quick search for "remotes" would have told you), it wouldn't have taken a genius to work it out.
But instead you persist in being an ******** because nobody spelled it out in words of one syllable for you.
****.

Re: Remote Control TV Codes
For the benefit of anybody searching this thread in the future:
The remotes used for Langley Pace STBs use the the One for All URC code 1060.
The remotes used for Bromley Pace STBs use a non-standard IRDA protocol and do not work with most universal remotes.
The remotes for Samsung boxes in either Langley or Bromley are the same for the Langley Pace, i.e. use the the One for All URC code 1060.
