Yahoo email

For a week or so, I have been having problems accessing Yahoo email. Prior to this, I had no problems at all, I haven't changed any ntl broadband settings so I don't think it is anything to do with them.

I receive "error 999" when trying to log in.

On several occasions I have been asked to add a code to log in, hidden in some odd print below the log in box. I suspect this is an anti-spamming measure. Sometimes I get in to my email, more often I don't.

Is anyone else having this problem? Has Yahoo been hacked?

Re: Yahoo email

I just sent an email from my Yahoo account... It seems to work fine. The only thing that didn't work for me was when you insert addresses into the "to" field of your email from your address book. All three (to, cc, bcc) were greyed out meaning I had to type the address in manually. Other than that seems to work fine.

I used to get this and when I added the extra security word which is a wobbly word looking thing, I ticked to sign in NOT THROUGH SECURE and it let me in first time.
You should send an email to yahoo to find out what the problem is, but try to fully describe your problem to them.

Yup - there has long been a problem with NTL's proxies and Yahoo! The proxies are naff.
