Re: Samsung SMT-2100 Probs
you need to reboot the box: switch off the power to your set top box at the mains, leave it off for a minute, then power it back up. this should clear the problem, if the problem persists, call customer services tomorrow on 0800 052 2000.

Re: Samsung SMT-2100 Probs
What channel is BBC 1 on for you? If it's on 1 (as opposed to 101), then no, the settings button doesn't work (yet).
If you press Guide, then a menu will pop up; settings is the bottom option.
This should change in the next software release!

so raj, you can access the settings menu, by pressing the settings button? or do you have to go to guide, then settings?

Re: Samsung SMT-2100 Probs
Managed thru the Guide menu, looks like i'll have to wait for software update to use the correct button.
What do you all think of the samsung box?
I have noticed that the sound sometimes goes out of sync and am disappointed that there is no line out for sound. Have to do thru a switch that that has a seperate line out.

Re: Samsung SMT-2100 Probs
samsung boxes are the best around - in terms of speed and reliablity. the next software will fix many issues with the samsung box (as it is a new box on the network). so the sound sync problem should be fixed soon.

Re: Samsung SMT-2100 Probs
Had a new Samsung box fitted Saturday, was told that the interactive would work in 24 hours. Interactive still does not work and the box has not been able to obtain an IP address yet. Is there a network problem or do I need to phone CS?
My parents samsung has had this interactive problem for a while and they were told by NTL that interactive would not work until a new software update. They could not say when this was going to be. I asked the engineer at the time the box was fitted whether this was true and he said no.
Anyone know who is right?

Re: Samsung SMT-2100 Probs
PM me your MAC address or smartcard number - can investigate. Also your parents.
Interactive will work even without a software version, but you must have a return path working, which is the first thing I'll check.

According to the DMC (Digital Media Centre) Engineers the Samsung Boxes on the Langley network are not completing the TFTP request and therefore cannot complete Interactive Provisioning.
They were planning a code download before Xmas to resolve it but when we (luton faults) closed the doors for the last time on the 29th it still hadnt been done.
If your in Aldershot you would have been looked after by our office.
