Re: ambit 08004eu problem

port forward is not needed from the modem to your pc- port forwarding applies if you are a running a router.

Lets say your pc currently has ip address of 80.1.1.1- an internet requests will carry this ip, and when these packets pass through the modem they will all go to your pc. If you have a router, your router will have that 80.1.1.1 (public) ip address, and you pc will have an ip like 192.168.1.2 (private). the port forwarding is needed to forward the packets from the public ip to private.

hth
MB

ps- i would also edit your post to remove the mac address of your modem

Re: ambit 08004eu problem

The ambit is not a router it is a modem.

i notice you are using a usb connection.... have you got an ethernet card in your computer? you are likely to get faster speeds by switching to that.

Some more information about your setup (windows version/ pc spec/ things you have tested / bit torrent client/ service level/ etc) might be helpful at this point
