Teesside was actually one of the lucky franchises because not every Langley franchise has them to give out.

They are pretty good, but there are some very annoying bugs with them which cause me grief from the family

I'd be grateful if you'd let me know what they are, if you've got a moment.

can i add one?

I switch my Sammy on and it doesnt automatically swicth to the STB AV input on the TV. If i change channel on the STB to certain channels then it does switch to the STB AV input. I suspect the STB isnt sending the AV signal required.

I use 16:9 and RGB output

My sammy freezes just as much as my PACE did, Also the picutre freezes for about a second and you get some garbage sound after you have changed channel. However i dont lose channels like my PACE 4000 did

IMHO my PACE 1000 series was by far the best box i ever had and i lost it due to NTL's incorrect belief that it was causing a broadband problem.

Gary, I have the 4010 box and it still plays up.. when your getting on in life !
and you have to keep getting down to reboot, and been disabled! it becomes more than a chore .. more like a big pain... all I ask for is a system that gives me and my wife the least probs !!!!!

o NTL's incorrect belief that it was causing a broadband problem.

DOnt get me wrong, i wasnt saying it wont resolve some of your problem. What i was saying is, dont expect it to be a solution to everything

Yeah, we know about that one. It'll be fixed in due course.

Re: samsung stb box

I've seen the problem quite a few times, only seems to happen on channels that are broadcast in widescreen. It usually goes away for me if I change to a 4:3 channel (e.g. ITV3) and back a couple of times...
