A useful little tool for you
I cant keep count with how many times we've all been asked "How do i know what region i am in?".... so, in response to this, ive coded a little tool for everyone to use that tells them
Here is a tool where you simply enter your postcode, and it will go away and do its stuff.
Hope this will be useful Comments appreciated...
James

Re: A little useful tool for you
useful tool... but the post a bit spammy?
also, your instructions say "Please enter your postcode with no spaces or dashes (eg. OL1 1ZZ)"
note the example you give has a space in the middle....

that would be because you are in a Bromley region... the network is divided into "bromley" (old c&w areas) and "langley" (original ntl)

Re: A little useful tool for you
We needed it to perform medical research on it. It then became apparent that we were not going to find the cure for male pattern hair-loss using the limited data we had strived to develop so we ended the study early and returned it to this section.

Re: A little useful tool for you
Alternatively, consult this map
1xx, 2xx, 6xx = Langley
3xx, 4xx, 5xx = Bromley

According to the map posted by altis, that is correct.
Area 220 Cardiff & Penarth is on the Langley platform.

Re: A little useful tool for you
Being annoying, I put in a Westminster postcode, W1A 1AA, aka Broadcasting House - this is in the Westminster franchise, which wasn't Bromley or Langley (it was only developed post-merger and has no DTV from either platform, but the UBR is configured as per Langley but is EuroDOCSIS like Bromley areas, so it's a hybrid. Comes up as Bromley - would it be possible to make it come up as 'non-DTV ntl area' or something?

Re: A little useful tool for you
Thanks for the 'medical research' findings.
Has anyone had any problems with it so far?
