Re: can u reccomend Good online auction sites in uk?

I have to say that I've looked around at the other sites around, and none come close to eBay. I know they are more expensive to sell on, but then they have 9 million registered users in the UK alone, so your potential audience is far far bigger than any other.

I looked at QXL again recently and it seems that they are on their last legs with very few (comparatively) auctions on the go.

Re: can u reccomend Good online auction sites in uk?

Yes, I remember when QXL (heh, Quick Sell) was a newcomer and ebay wasn't as popular and mainstream as it is now. As is so often the case, the Americans' excellent ability to market things lead to their position as market leader.

I read an article a while back that QXL has been sold to another company, so maybe it will make a comeback ...although I doubt it will ever be as popular as ebay has become. Shame really.

edit: just found the article.... http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/11..._sells_itself/ Not bad... £12M for 7 years' work.
