STB problem "You are not subscribed..."
Hi,
I had to unplug the cables on my PACE 1000 box to move our TV stand and it seems to have made to STB lose the TV signal!
I have reset it taking the plug out a number of times, but all I get on any channel is "You are not subscribed to this channel. Call customer services, etc..". A box then comes up that says:
Card removed
Your smart card may have been dislodged or removed. Please ensure that it is clean and inserted into the slot.

Thing is, the box doesn't have a smart card! I have tried the cables at the back and they all seem to be fitted OK, so can anyone suggest anything?
The broadband internet still works OK, which also comes through the box, not a modem.
Cheers,
James

I have a Pace 1000 box and I can tell you that it does or should have a smart card, have you opened up the compartment on the front of it? What channel packages do you currently subscribe to each month? Thanks.

Hi Mick,
There is a slot on the far left, but no card there. Is there another card slot that I am missing?!
Cheers,
James

Re: STB problem "You are not subscribed..."
The slot you can see is for a Mondex card (I think there was a plan at one time to have online shopping). The slot you want is next to it but hidden behind a pull-down flap.
First switch off the box. Pull the card out, wipe the contacts with a clean dry cloth and then push it back in firmly. Finally, switch on the box an wait....

Hinged door, not a pull down, swings to your left
