Base/family Packs? prices?
Im a tad confused, Ive been paying NTL £10 for the base pack and £20 for the family pack, but after looking on the site it seems its only £20 for both of them?
Am I being ripped off? It certainly seems that way, I rang them up but the person on the phone didnt seem to have a clue what they were talking about and said that the site is probably wrong?
I have a feeling they are scamming me out of £10 a month, and thats not good.
Base/Family Prices
Does that or does that not say that the family pack includes the base pack for £20? You cant even select both of them at the same time, so I must be being ripped off.
Anyone got any advice?
I only looked on the site to add some channels, now thats the last thing i'm thinking of doing.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Base/family Packs? prices?
You should be paying:
Telephone: £9.50
Family Pack: £19.50
Total: £29.00
If you have BB add that on as well ie: 300K - £17.99, 750K - £24.99, 1.5M - £37.99
hope this helps

Re: Base/family Packs? prices?
So why does the site say its £19.50 for the family pack including all the base channels?
It doesnt make any kind of sense?
If you try and select both it wont let you, one or the other only.
Or am I missing something blindingly obvious?

Re: Base/family Packs? prices?
Its digital cable, maybe I am including the Line Rental in my bill, I didnt think that came on the bill for the TV though?
If only NTL didnt hire monkeys to work on the phones, they are no help whatso ever.
So the bill should be 19.50 for the family pack (inc base pack) and 9.50 for the phone.
Right I think Ive got it right in my head now.

Think you've cracked it mate.
Also, I beleive that billing can still vary from region to region in some instances, I may be wrong though.

Re: Base/family Packs? prices?
Thank you then peeps, If only the NTL customer services could be as helpful as a free forum. Maybe thats asking a bit too much of them
Oh well, they've put me off getting any more channels, so thats some money saved at least.
Thanks again.

Re: Base/family Packs? prices?
You do realise that the family pack contains all the channels that the base pack does and then some right... Thats where your extra 10 quid is going.

Re: Base/family Packs? prices?
I changed my family package on Friday 29th to the basic package and they told me it was gonna cost £19.50, yet on the site it's £10 So am I being ripped off?
I am going to be doing a print screen just in case NTL decide to change it

If you have the base pack don't you still have to have the phone line (Which is £10?) is this why it's £19.50?
I'm sure a much cleverer person than me can tell you if this is true or not?

Yep, pretty much. Base Pack = £10, *but* you have to have a phone line too, which = £9.50. Total is therefore £19.50.
