Re: Stargate: SG-1, don't miss it!

Good point

...but this is about SG:1 I'd hate to think that I'd miss the beginning of a series just because the announcement was hidden in some thread general sci-fi thread

Personally I hope it is the last series, the lack of RDA showed through in series 7 but didnt effect it much, however with even less of him in series 8 its getting worse and worse imo, it also seems like all of the good stories are being used on Atlantis to help launch what looks to me like a promising spinoff. With regards to SG-1 if RDA can't put the time in they should just call it a day and maybe make some DVD movies or even just write Jack out of it alltogether, it seems a waste of time keeping him in if hes only had a total of about 10mins airtime in the last 10 45min long shows.
Out of the 10 episodes of SG-1 S8 so far I would only say that the first 2 where anygood. Its a shame really as SG-1 was my favourite series.
Atlantis has taken the hotspot at the moment though, I absolutley love it so far, even though the cheesyness can be through the roof at times its still 10x better than just about anything else on at the moment, and I really can't wait to see where they go with the mid-season break cliffhanger. I also like the sound of the epsidode 'Before I sleep' and the series cliffhanger 'The siege I & II'.
Anyway theres my 2 pence worth

Re: Stargate: SG-1, don't miss it!

It's bad enough when they end a series on a double to be continued episode but when they start a new series with it one is just too much..............Barstewards!

It is a bit irritating isn't it.....

By the way - I hear enterprise goes something like 4 episodes into the new season before it sorts out the cliffhanger from end of last year.
