Painfully slow browsing & high gaming pings

Hi, I'm from the Nothants area and for the last few days my internet connection (2mbs) has been slowing down a lot, sometimes It takes 10 minutes for a page to load and gaming pings are going upto 500+ sometimes whereas I usually ping at about 40-60.
I don't think theres a problem In my area and there's nothing wrong with my computer, I've phoned tech support but they seem to have difficulty understanding the problem since my connection Is still active, so wondered If anyone on here could help, thanks.

My connection returned to normal again soon after posting here, so I thought I'd wait till today to see If It lasts and It has.
