nokia implements anti virus to phones

nokia's next phone to be released in october, the nokia 6670 'smartphone' is to have a version of f-secure's anti virus protection software, although the phone will not be shipped with the software users will have to download it from the f-secure website, those wanting updates will have to pay an additional fee per month.

Isnt it only the multifunction phones such As XDA and its smaller siblings that are vulnrable at the moment though?
e.g. My SE T610 is immune at the moment.

Even with authentication switched off you still have to activate the antenna, infact that just makes it doubly stupid of you have the antenna activated.

Maybe thats not a standard option then, seems wierd that they would leave that out of the config for some phones considdering the enormous power drain bluetooth has. Though that might explain why I found so many phones with no authentification. when I scanned the cafeteria where I work.

Re: nokia implements anti virus to phones

I normally have my Bluetooth off completely unless I am actually on the internet...

And - yup - doing the internet with my phone sucks the life out of it
