NHS Discounts
Hello, this is a site for anyone who works in the NHS! Basically you register and go shopping.
My dads a member so i also know a fair bit about the site!
Heres how it works
go to: NHS Discounts.
After you have registered (You MUST WORK IN THE NHS) you can select from a drop down menu of what you want.
Example: I want to buy The Sims 2 from PC World, i select PC World from the drop down menu. It takes me to a page where it has three boxes, these consist of the promotional code, telephone number of the store and the site URL. I want to order this game online so i go to the PC World site enter in the search box "The Sims 2" click add to cart, then click checkout! After i have done this there is a box lower down the screen to enter the promotional code, i enter that code into the box and click on "Update" after i have done this it will then give me the percentage off the R.R.P .
so say the game is £34.99 and i would get anything from 5 to 30% off the R.R.P
Enjoy all you NHS working staff

ahh what a shame. If you work in the NHS you'd get 5% off of the list price. So instead of paying £34.99 youd pay £29.08 .

Dunno how you worked that one out.
5% off £34.99 = £33.24
Anyway, The Sims2 is only £32.99 in ASDA at the moment.
EDIT: the RRP is 39.99 and its selling for only 27.99 at amazon.co.uk (free delivery).

So um .. Wayne, is the Sims 2 total price cheaper on Amazon (£27.99 total, free shipping) or your NHS site?

Re: NHS Discounts
Hmm NUS / student discounts on software at least is usually quite good, for example students get 10% off any software from game, which can be at times cheap but mostly not. Alot of high street stores offer a discount too mostly 10% but can be as high as 20%.
I do remember getting Elite force 2 for pennies as I had about £20 in game vouchers, and they were doing a members first day of release special offer, where it was £29.99 instead of £34.99 i think.
I got the £3.50 taken off for being a student, then £5 off for the promotion then £20 off in vouchers :-) which would made it £6.49 for a game on the day of release which was a total bargain !
K
Edit looking at the game site they have sims 2 up for £39.99 reduced to £29.99 because of the nice way they work out student discounts that would be £25.99
