Remote Problem

Hi I am having problems with my Remote. I cannot turn the volumn up or down. When I press the button the standby button on the remote goes on (Green) but it does nothing. any ideas?

Have you programmed your TV code into it?

Re: Remote Problem

If you are attempting to control the volume of the STB(red flash), then this will not function until you receive the latest STB software.

But if it's the TV volume that isn't being controlled(green flash) then try re-programming your TV code into the ntl remote.
You may have the first model of these remotes, which were prone to losing the programmed code.

Re: Remote Problem

how do I program the remote.

I have a PACE STB. I pressed the Settings and the * key until the standby button flashes green twice then enter in the 3 digits and press the select/ok button then try change the channel or switch off but it does not work.

1. Do I need to point the remote to either the STB or the TV.
2. How does the TV know that signal is for it or the STB?
3. do you have to switch between tv and stb?
