'Fahrenheit' Web leaks add fuel to controversy
The war between Michael Moore and his critics has escalated as a Web site targeting the "Fahrenheit 9/11" director posting a link to an illegal "Fahrenheit" file download. In the process, it also attacked the filmmaker's stance on copyright law. [Full Story]
CNN, July 1, 2004
The article mentions that MM doesnt have a problem with people d/ling his movies as long as they are not for profit i got the video clip of where he says that somewhere i will try and dig up the link its interesting as he is a friend of p2p in a way.

I think that pretty much covers it.

I'll just mention that nobody is allowed to post the link to the movie on the forum.
It's easy enough to find from the CNN article anyway...

I have changed my big moving one to a big still one (with a little bit moving) - I only did this this morning so you may need to refresh your cache to see this.
Anyway - I hope it's better

Re: 'Fahrenheit' Web leaks add fuel to controversy
The trouble is though, MM has no say on who can pirate his movie and who can't. He sold the rights for distribution to Lions Gate Films, and that other one. Therefore MM isn't allowed to distribute it without their permission. He can say what he likes, but it doesn't make it legal. He doesn't won the film anymore, he is only the director/writer/producer, so he is an instrument of the film's production. He has no more rights to claim to the film, that some guy in Ryton, Coventry has on my Peugeot, because he helped build the engine. Same as if a camera guy on F9/11 said the same thing.
I admire Lee's "bring it on" stance, and it is a good article to post about how MM constantly likes to try and flirt with both sides(the corporate and anti-corporate), but I don't think "MM said it" is an excuse that will get him off if Lions Gate tried to sue him. MM can say what he likes, it doesn't make it true.
