I've finally got my date from BT for the line to be activated in my house(14/05/04), thus enabling me to kick NTL into touch finally.
Having looked on ISP review i see a lot of mixed reviews for different services, Bulldog were going to be one of the contenders for my money but seem to have withdrawn their primetime service from my area so i'm not sure who to go with.
Also i would like to know if i am better of getting a 1Mb service with 50:1 Contention Ratio or a 512k with 20:1 contention ratio.
Both seem to have the 256k upload so i'm not really sure what i'm better of with.
I use the connection for online gameing as well as web surfing.
i dont do that much downloading.
Help and advice would definately be appreciated
thanks
Re: Help, higher download or better contention Ratio?
I'd personally go for the business 20:1 connection if you don't download a great deal, you shouldn't get affected by contention while you're gaming at peak hours then.
