Its a shame the smilies don't work in it at the moment - hopefully this will be fixed soon!

Re: new yahoo messenger (beta)

ok, major problems with my pc today and I think it's down to this s/w.

I decided to reinstall the normal messenger and after doing this, my PC would rebooted itself and everytime I reboot and login, after loading zone alarm etc, it then reboots again - EVIL!

I have got the PC working by a system restore.

Re: new yahoo messenger (beta)

I've also had problems with my pc re-booting in the last few days since I installed this - interesting! And problems with my webcam especially on Yahoo messenger but also MSN too - something else to sort out at the weekend then!

Re: new yahoo messenger (beta)

I've used the new Messenger for a couple of days. It's a little flaky in places, but then it is a beta.

There's some very nice new features, including the Launchcast personal radio stations, that you can show your firends what you're listening to. The new audibles (audio emoticons) are very cool. The display picture is interesting but pretty useless.

Overall, very impressive, and long overdue. I would like to see more ability to customise buttons and toolbars, but you can't have everything.
