Getting your deposit back?

Ok - I might be going mad but I'm pretty sure that when I signed up to NTL last year I had to give them a deposit because my credit rating is far from rosey.

Does anyone know when I'll get this back (or even if NTL really do do this or have I just made this up?).

I may be getting mixed up between a deposit and just the installation fee though...

Services: I no longer receive cable services, I blame the inept accounts dept for that.

Re: Getting your deposit back?

Perhaps you need to look up your initial paperwork.

AFAIKR the initial deposit was taken but it was also used as the first months payment.
but then it was years ago & if I everpaid one I doubt I would ever get it back.

Re: Getting your deposit back?

Usually when a deposit is paid then this is taken into account and deducted from the 1st bill, however sometimes a security deposit is required and this can be refunded after 12 months.
