Leaving NTL whats the alternative deals
HI
I am fed up with NTL, poor broad band performance, bill, customer services and video on demand problems.
I wish to take my cash elsewhere anyone idea of alternative deals out there that match NTLs.
I Currently have the phone, tv family pack, and 4mb broadband.
TV Family pack at £8
Digital base pack & phone £22.50 - £5.50 Free 1/2 price line rental =£17
Talk unlimited £14 currently free
4mb broadband £12.49 currently half price
Taking the above my monthly outgoing should be approx £51.50
Thanks
Mr E

Re: Leaving NTL whats the alternative deals
When you take into accounts your current half price offers you will be struggling to get any other similar package for the same money unless your area has a stable/ working ADSL LLU running.

How much do you use your Broadband. Both those packages have a 40 gig limit. Sky have not said how much they are going to charge if you go over. If you use any form of p2p you will have problems on both packages as they are heavily traffic shaped

Dont do much in the form of downloads but use my broadband for browsing the web and play xbox 360 live.
My wife sometimes browses the web, while I am on xbox live.

Re: Leaving NTL whats the alternative deals
Can you get Sky BB yet though? A lot of exchanges (ours included) are not yet enabled which is why I mentioned the LLU situation.

Re: Leaving NTL whats the alternative deals
LLU = local loop unbundling which is what enables companies like Talk Talk, Sky etc run ADSL services from the exchanges.
I thought you might not be lucky enough to get Sky BB as they have only rolled out a certain number of exchanges so far. Do you know what other ADSL suppliers are operating out of your exchange?

Re: Leaving NTL whats the alternative deals
It means you should be able to get BT ADSL broadband, NTL (obviously) and Easynet ADSL. Have you looked at BT as a possible provider?

Seeing as Sky own Easynet, I would suspect that you can get Sky BB.
